Automatically switching Cloud Servers on and off during office hours
An office that uses Aruba Cloud technology only during working hours (from 09:00 to 13:00 and from 14:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday) can schedule recurring tasks to automatically switch Cloud Servers on and off. In particular:
- automatically switch off Cloud Servers at 19:00 on working days;
- automatically switch on Cloud Servers at 08:00 on working days;
- in the event of a public holiday falling on a working day, scheduled tasks can be temporarily disabled.
This configuration avoids keeping Cloud Servers switched on when the office is closed and they are not being used.
Automatically increasing resources (vCPU and RAM) during campaigns and events
A company that promotes or sells its services online through a website hosted on an Aruba Cloud Server can manage traffic peaks more effectively by scheduling a temporary increase in computing resources (vCPU and RAM) using recurring scheduled tasks.
These tasks can be used to increase the resources of a VMware Cloud Server during:
- events and industry exhibitions;
- advertising campaigns;
- high-visibility promotional periods.
